I didn’t entirely enjoy work today (of course not, it’s work) but I feel like it’s harder to get one’s stuff done when having to deal with customers. Which is funny because the entire point is supposed to be customer service, but I have to take inventory, and use an excel sheet to help figure out how much of each thing we sell that we should make in order to sell more. It’s a fun little task that I have to do every day, along with the cleaning, and making sandwiches, and slicing deli meat, and having to make things not only fresh but also making wraps and sandwiches to sell in our fridges. And there’s a pressure to keep sales up even though we’re understaffed but we still need to make our corporate overlords happy with our sales!

Capitalism is wild.

But I still feel good about working at this store, if only because i live 10 minutes away and I can easily escape at the end of my shift.

It’s also almost my weekend and I’m looking forward to it so much. I’ll be able to see the new Spider-man movie soon and I think I want to finally go to the new H Mart that recently opened in Dublin. I’ve been to the ones in San Jose and various ones on SouCal, but this is the first time and H Mart has opened in the East Bay technically. But I really want to pick up some stuff for kalbi, maybe, so we’ll see.
